Client: Alberta Street TRA
Working with the local tenants and residents’ association of the Alberta Estate in Kennington, South London, JCLA produced designs to breathe life back into overlooked spaces within the estate. The ‘Fruit and Nut Garden’ re-imagines a small linear garden space bordering a residential street, with new fruit and nut tree planting, an edible hedge, along with planting of flowers and spring bulbs. Further down the street, a pomegranate tree provides an exotic element to the mix of edible fruits across the estate as part of the ‘Alberta Fruit Commons’.
